Our Place is being adopted ! ! And we have found the perfect adoptive parents in CCS Adoption (Clifton Children's Society) !
Dear Families and Friends:
As 29 June, 2013 -- our Closing Party and Adoption Ceremony -- grows closer, I find that we are actually expanding in many of our activities so we shall have a full house to turn over to CCS. It is very exciting that children are being adopted earlier and that we have had such a demand for more Toddler Groups. We are adding a Wednesday morning session in the New Year (see Calendar details). Similarly, our Half Term activities have been over-subscribed, meaning that we will be augmenting what we offer your children during holiday times, but sign up early!
This will be the last Bulletin that Our Place will be sending out because CCS will pick up mailings as of this summer. We would like to pass on our mailing list to CCS so that they can stay in touch with all of the Our Place families and professionals, but we need permission from families in order to do this. Please contact us immediately if you DO NOT want CCS to have your details. Only name, address, phone number will be passed on as we have kept no records of other details about any family. If we have not heard from you by the Easter holidays, we are going to assume that it is okay for us to give CCS your contact number and address.
In our continued effort to make this transition as smooth as possible for everyone, we will be having a February Coffee Morning at Our Place when CCS staff will be available to talk with parents and carers. This is an informal drop-in session (see Calendar details). In addition, we will have a workshop in February given by Dr. Jane Schulte, who is a fabulous speaker, a Consultant Paediatrician in Bristol, an expert on eating issues and a Trustee of CCS, (see Calendar).
Also in February: our infamous Relaxation Day (see Calendar) for which you will want to sign up early as places are limited. There are many holiday activities to look through as well !
Please read the details of each month of this Bulletin carefully so that you can guarantee yourself a place by signing up in advance for activities that are of interest to you.
